Volunteers

The Volunteers tasks:

- The main volunteers task is that of taking the refuge's dogs to walk . It is very important that they go out from their cages at least once per day. Hence, the volunteers follow a list which marks the cage number of the dogs who have not gone out yet.

In the refuge there are some dogs which are considered dangerous-breed. This kind of dogs can only be walked by those volunteers who have a specific licence. In the cage's door of dangerous-breed dogs there hangs a sign with the following letters: GPP.

- Volunteers also should keep an eye on the dogs health . In case we see that a particular dog or cat has any health problem that has not been noticed by the refuge's workers or veterinarians, we must inform about it.

- To give affection and to play with them is also an important task of the volunteers. It is important that dogs exercise as well as it is that they feel loved an cared.

- Volunteers also comb and wash dogs . If dogs are clean and have a good image they will have more possibilities of being adopted. It is also important to watch that they don't have fleas or other parasites.
